Bill Lederer has had over 30 of his plays produced in theaters such as Hull House, Barry Street, Old Town Players, Triangle Art Center, Body Politic, Theatre Building, Athenaeum Theater and Prop Theater. His teleplay, The Reader and the Writer, was originally produced by WTTW (the local PBS station in Chicago) and it was later aired throughout the United States and Canada.
Lederer’s plays explore various genres such as: absurdism, surrealism, minimal and gestural theatre, as well as neo-realism.
His plays are on archive at Chicago’s Newberry Library.
