Do and Don’t Ask Questions

O you animal, how clever you are.
I throw you the world and you balance it on your nose.
You jump over rainbows in a song.
You cat about on the edges with no fear.
You sound like a motor behind mirrors
while I stumble about holding my nuts.

Why can’t I tear threw any line.
Mow down the field and cross the goal.
Alright I’ll teach you to concentrate
on the hereafter and getting ahead.
Then you can pound your chest and pick your nose
and nobody will know the difference.

O civilization and you malcontents
open windows and crash through doors.
Live in the wonder of tragic cartoons.
Laugh at dictators who wear funny hats
and mold their dreams to fit your pants.
I tell you we’re virtually screwed up!

Unless we realize some limitations:
the hole larger than all its parts.
That metaphors are dumb before beauties.
That those gorgeous flouncing-about flowers
are infinitely teasing and dramatic actresses.
Enough said. Please lie with me on purpose.
