You Started It

I fear doors open. I fear them close.
But when they revolve nobody knows.
What joined me was a long lean body
dancing with me like the dog of the party.
Who was I to resist the untamed in my arms?
The wobbly two-step with all its charms.
A bit aggressive but oh that chin.
She wanted to play and I wanted to win.
Then her madam came along and told me not to squeeze her.
And so I was aroused and she barked and that pleased her.
But she was a bad dancer yet tried very hard
to lick my neck like a pard in lard.
The question wasn’t was she ready.
She loved me dearly and I kept her steady.
And I tried to be but my butt stuck out.
She looked behind me and I wanted to shout,
“I’m supposed to mount you, you silly witch!”
And that would be awkward and we left it at that.
So I entered her in a contest and she won it as a cat.
Now together we go on tour as animal lovers.
Masters of none but as one who discovers
to run around in front and back
after something we know we lack.
