There there here hear and all that stuff.
Emphasize nothing in the buff.
Go outside and shout once more.
Jump in a river and float on a door.
Rhyme for meaning in a sentence.
Go to prison for a penance.
Command a turnip to stand tall.
Go to war to defend a mall.
We are in a terrible fix
without God and other tricks.
Come here my fine one.
Stay there and never be gone.
I need you for more than an instant
even if I have to repent
that I haven’t lived up to a distant saint
in opening up without restraint.
Nature hasn’t told me one damn thing
without proposing a dingdong ding.
Still I can’t stop thinking about you
from stary skies to the lovely few
who won’t know peace no matter what.
And even torment others for their lot
unless the point is right over there
and all that stuff means somewhere.
Somewhere
