Laugh!

Look around for the odd.
Make it wade through the Old Sod:
Is that a crocodile in the air?
No it’s my nose in your hair.
That skunk is a beauty.
He just performed his duty.
Don’t rabbits look silly?
Only when they hop willy nilly.
When a whale squeaks like a mouse
you can’t judge a bed by the house.
Unless you’re a scarecrow that Hoovers
before the movers come over with Lugers.

Not just with nerds but with turds
the scene should be herded with words
slightly off-center to buy
that crocodile in the sky.
Doing things never dreamt of
between a rock and a hard dove.

Everybody loves a trope.
Even a pinch of that dope
makes you feel in the know
when all about must go.
In untimely fashions
and mad passions,
you ache for the world to glow
instead of being so-so.
In environs safe with grace
you savor a pie in the face.
