I Ask You

Somewhere over the ocean
caterpillars explode into butterflies.
The meek shall inherit a mortgage.
And you, my dear, shut up!

If I were to hold you in such high esteem,
would you soil my knickers?
I would wipe you off the map
just thinking about it.

You’re trying too hard to make me laugh.
O go tickle my spareribs.
Incomplete thoughts. There are such things.
Whippenpoof you’re extremely lucky.

Read meaning into any newspaper.
Politicians are spectacular!
What you see is what you get.
I’ll bet your dog doesn’t believe in ghosts

After all’s said I’m done,
Now ambush the weather.
The obvious is neither cold nor hot.
You’ll miss it in the bathtub.

There you have it. The language thing.
Go out and buy one.
Weigh it measure it calculate it.
Come to the devil smartly!
