I wanted to fly so I beat my arms.
The birds only laughed at my charms.
So I landed on their backs
and kicked underneath their wings
killing all the more species attacks.
Except for horse air-power rings.
Next I flopped inside a comic book
which kept my thoughts alive
till my mama squeezed my look
in an escalator going up
telling me I wouldn’t survive
if I didn’t my feet pick up.
And then there was a bug
that stung me in the mouth.
I just wanted a hug
But a stranger threw me out
Into the wilds or something like that.
And Pop hit me in the head with a bat.
I was told what to listen to
when a radio fell from the sky.
What followed was my father
appearing somewhere farther
perfectly out of the blue
who bothered to answer my holler.
By then I put two and two together.
This world was a terrible trip.
What we think we know is the other.
My parents stowed me on a ship
taking my life sailing the seven seas
When I took a dip instead of eating my peas.
This all may seem too personal.
Thrown up sideways and out.
Words will get you in trouble.
The fly in the bottle won’t pout.
Think you’re God? That’s original sin.
Now start over and silently begin!
