Be Stream

It’s so sweet between toes
I can almost taste it.
Above the bank a tree grows.
Nothing is wasted.

Flow steady stream clear
I wonder where I am.
Past present yesteryear
right behind that clam.

Should I open it with my toes?
Of course not. It’s too slippery.
Still I try but there it goes.
Between reflection and memory.

I must jump into the flow
no matter how fast it seems.
Downstream stands a ten-foot crow.
Are you here to question my dreams?

Yes says fly stuck to my brow.
You’re in stream up to your neck.
Think now wherever you go.
Another passenger’s on deck.

Now you’re sinking from the slightest rule.
A thought beyond dream and madness.
What did you say that was so cruel?
The stream’s too fast to contain sadness.

Past present and future are one.
You were always wet behind ears.
Look upon stream beyond sun
passing through others over years.
